# How to Participate in an Event

> Join an active Top 10 event from the Events Center, add a category photo, and view the public feed of other participants taking part in the competition.

  After the release of Top 10! 2.0 and the UI refresh, the video in this article was out of date. The steps should work the same but if you have any troubles, please create a ticket! A new video is being created!

  If you do not see the **Join Event** button on step three, it may mean there isn't an event going on. Please review [Event Dates](https://getsupport.keyninestudios.com/topten/premium/event-dates) for more.

<Steps>
  <Step title="To Open an Event">
    1. Click my "Top 10s" on the bottom bar
    2. Click "Events Center"
    3. Click "Join Event"
    4. To add a photo, click on My Top 10 at the bottom
    5. Select the category
    6. Follow [these steps](https://getsupport.keyninestudios.com/topten/guides/how-to-take-upload-a-picture) to finish taking the photo as they are the same in both instances
    7. To view a public feed of others participating in the event, simply click on "Public Feed"
